Howdy folks, new to the forum as of today. Picked up a 2004 Sierra 4wd with a ton of miles on it! 228k to be exact! Anyway, it has a problem in the trans that I will start troubleshooting tonight and keep everyone up to date on what I end up finding to fix the issue. It quits shifting out of the blue and actually seems to go into limp mode.
I'll pull codes tonight and update as I go through troubleshooting it. The shift solenoid is brand new along with the trans itself.
One thing to note is the thing has an auto start (astro start) in it. Seems I've read in the past these can cause issues if not installed properly.
