I hunted for a pristine original gmc jimmy for a while and I finally found this jimmy about a month ago. It has 82k original miles and everything is original except for a 4" Lift. I was wondering what bolt on engine upgrades you anyone would recommend. The engine runs great for an 87 TBI, but I would like about 50 more horse's. It has a new 3" flowmaster without a catalytic converter and an edelbrock performance air filter. I have read about upgrading to vortec heads from the 96-2000 350 engines, but I am unsure about the reliability of this upgrade. Any ideas would be appreciated!
