No power to diag port.

Just what it sounds like. My truck has been running poorly and getting bad mileage so I took it to autozone to have it code scanned. Plugged the scanner in, turned the key "on" and the scanner didn't turn on. I checked every fuse in the truck and the only one blown was the cig lighter.

The truck is 2002 2wd with the 4 cyl.

Any ideas?

that most likly is the fuse for the plug

The diagnostics port DOES get its power from the lighter fuse...
My 03 sonoma's port was dead until I replaced the fuse...

Well, that is good to know. I wonder what happened to blow that fuse, I don't even use the lighter.

Now I can get it code scanned tomorrow and hope it leads me in the right direction.
