Hi, One day while driving the sound stopped working, believing it was the radio station I tried multiple others. radio was able to switch stations but no sound would be heard (volume controls did not work anymore either). When I turned the car off I would hear static coming from the front driver speaker without the key being in the ignition at all. It stopped after some time.

The next day I checked the fuses and noticed the amp fuse (20A) was blown. when i replaced it and turned the key to give contact sound would work again, but every time i started the car the fuse would blow again. it does not blow when the key is turned to ACC or the other position.
-factory bose system

Not sure if this has anything to do with it but the driver power window button does not work since the same day the sound stopped working.

Any one have any idea by chance?

Have you checked all your other fuses as well? NEver had that proble with our '04. I know that on my old Isuzu truck the radio and cig lighter (12V outlet) are on the same fused circuit; when I lost power to the 12V outlet due to an overload, I lost radio. Replaced fuse, it blew again. Once I removed the offending "12V three socket adapter" I got from Wally World, it stopped blowing fuses.

Go figure.

just took out the panels and disconnected the 12V outlet and the two accessory outlets. The amp fuse did not blow this time, BUT there is a continuous "thudding" sound coming from my two front speakers on the door panels.. Is this a short somewhere or what could this be? Maybe on one of the 12V, accessory outlets wires?

That's a new one to me. It's got me baffled. Literally.
