Hi I'm new to this forum so please bear with me!
My brother has an issue with his '03 Sonoma. The transfer case was making noise so we took it off and disassembled it. We found that there was a larger circular "spring" broken that should be holding 3 little pieces in place on the shifting assembly near the syncro sleeve. Sorry but I don't know what the proper terminology for these pieces.
As far as I could see, there is no internal damage to the transfer case. I wonder if anyone has a parts list and repair manual instructions so I could buy the parts and help my brother rebuild it. It looks like it should be rather simple but I'd like to have OEM instructions so I don't get anything wrong. I did search You Tube for a rebuild video but couldn't find any that were specific to the NP233C transfer case.
I sure would appreciate if someone could provide some assistance.
