Hi all,

Got two questions. . Yesterday I was trying to reset my gas mileage calculator on my 2015 GMC Sierra 1500 SLE Heavy Half and for some reason my oil life monitor reset itself from 49% back to 99%. I know for a fact that I didn't reset it in the prescribed manner which requires the vehicle to have key on. not running, with the brain switched to oil life monitor and then holding the reset button because, I was driving at the time.

So the first question is, has anybody else seen this issue because it's more than a little disconcerting to have the vehicle's electronics changing things on it's own and the reason I'm concerned is that my "Onstar reports" will now be out of whack for oil life. Although in hindsight the last time I had issues with the electronics in the vehicle it turned out to be the battery going south so I guess that's always a possibility (OEM AC Delco replacement). BTW the vehicle isn't throwing codes and my OBD2 reader didn't pick anything up electronically or mechanically?

The second question is that, I'm getting some pulsation from the front breaks at highway speed when hard braking. So could someone recommend a good brake rotor other than AC Delco for a brake job. The reason I'm not going to use AC Delco again is because the truck has a grand total of 42116 Km's (26170 miles) on it and if the current AC Delco brakes didn't last past 40K I'm not going to waste my money on OEM again.

Thanks in Advance

FOG.

Well I found the issue and I feel like an idiot. I never noticed the reset feature on the oil life monitor. So I must have had it on that when I pushed what I thought was the gas mileage reset. So scratch question #1 but I'd still like some input on question #2 if possible.

Thanks

FOG.
