Greetings everyone. I don't know why it took me so long to get here, but here I am.
I have a 92 GMC Suburban w/261,000 miles on her. New GM longblock and rebuilt tranny at 125,000.
She's slowly starting to fall apart as she is just a driver. She's been a good one.
My latest malady is the doors not closing tight enough and getting the "whistling sound" going down the highway. Can I just change the door strikes in the jam or is this the dreaded hinge issue? If I can just change the strikes, how do you keep the nut, inside the post from dropping into oblivion?
And WHY did GM not make the strikes moveable as far as being able to adjust them?
Please help me out ol' wise ones...
