Our 1999 GMC Suburban was stolen on Tuesday from the French Quarter area. We just purchased the vehicle on Friday (only had it 4-days) - the seller owns a used car lot and we had a bill of sale; however, he is still waiting on the titles - he claims he purchased the vehicle from an auction near Baton Rouge. P.S. he only gave us one key - makes us very suspicous of him. Anyway, what is the chance of recovery on a 1999 Suburban - looks good for its age.

is he a legit dealer

did you get asis or warranty paper dmv for temporary registration most dealer don't have titles or has to send it out for it to comeback in your name but if you bought with no registration temp from dealer or a bill of sale notarized and you have to pay sales tax as the dealer has to report that sale

I have a 99 burb..... IMO, you're better off without it. Use this as an opputunity to buy a different vehicle. I wish I did.

Wow

That's scary. I leave in the area. Hope you find your vehicle.

I have a 99 Suburban, purchased in 2003. I've changed the alternator, starter, battery, and do normal maintenance. Great vehicle if you take care of them.
