Check engine light on code coming up as po454. Pressure sensor for gas tank are there any other causrs for this code.

clean gas cap seal and make sure gas cap on tight

Thanks will try cleaning and tightening gas cap. Any idea as how often it will run the test to clear the check engine light.

This is what I came up with for the p0454

Fuel Tank Pressure (FTP) Sensor Circuit Intermittent

this is not a measure of fuel pressure
this is a measurement of pressure in the gas tank the tank is vented thru a charcoal canister which remove hydrocarbons then when the engine is running it sucks the hydrocarbon back out of the charcoal n burns them, it is part of smog control
do you live n drive in a very dusty area, the vent on the canister could be clogged
you are either building up to much pressure or not enough
do you ever hear a hissing noise when you remove the gas cap, next time remove it slowly n listen, do it before you drive it n after, listening for that noise
