Hey everyone, first post here. I've had a few Jimmy's throughout the years.

So i just picked up a 98 Jimmy Whistler edition with only 153KM for $2000cdn. This thing is mint. It's not my regular driver, so I've only taken it out a few times.

Anyways, i didn't notice when i bought it, but I'm definitely noticing now, that there's an extremely strong Mildew/Musty/Moldy like smell. It's quite strong and almost unbearable.

I also just noticed that when i hit the brakes sharply a swooshing water sound. I looked all over, but I'm lost. Anyone have any idea what's going on here? Thanks

Mildew / musty / mold = wet something , usually carpet
If it's parked inside out of the rain -
Check the coolant level , then run the Jimmy for a while ,then take the floor mat out of the passenger front and feel the carpet all the way up the firewall , peel it back a little at the top and slide your hand down the gap if you can.
If it's wet you might have a leaking heater core .

If it's parked outside it could be the heater core or a bad seal around the windshield or other piece of glass . If it passes the heater core test get the hose out...

Thanks for the advice. The heater core seems to be fine. I noticed while checking it over that the drivers side door is sitting kinda high. I'm not noticing any water in the door though... kinda stumped here.

No sunroof in this biscuit. It's supposed to rain tomorrow. So i'm going to check the doors again.
