Power and acceleration 96-98 gmc sierra @ chevrolet silver ado 5.7l vortec 350?

What do you guys think i have a 98 5.7l vortec it has really good low-end accel but the mid-range is not reallly good high-end not really what you guys think?

1 its a truck geared for power not speed
2 its a truck..engine built for low end torque not high RPM horse power
3 its a truck it weighs 6000+ pounds...not gonna go like a 3500 pound car...
4 all corvette parts fit... or Fast performance.com intake,,,,jet or chips computer upgrade
jegs.com and summetracing .com have exhaust systems and every other thing to make an easy 400/450 HP... easy if not expensive... read hot rod magazine [or hot rod magazine.com...or super chevy mag...
