Before you and start replacing the motor, it's more common for the switch it self to go bad. Inspect the switch first that tilt your seat and wire leads, once you have determined that the switch and electrical system to your seat has no issues. Then proceed to going to replace the electric motor to your seat.

The other issue that you may have, is with the power seat module. Is your vehicle equipped with memory seats?

The module may needs to have the software reloaded. This will happen if you replaced the battery or had another electrical problem. Here is how to replace the module if you have to and to get to the wires.

Remove the seat cushion.
Disconnect the upper electrical harness connectors (3).
Remove the module (2) retaining screws (1).
Slide the module to the right to disengage the lower retainers.
Disconnect the lower electrical harness connectors (2).
Remove the module from the vehicle.
