Ok 08 serria crew cab 5.3
Ok since i bought truck used 1 1/2 years ago it seems to always have problems with a tire loosing air pressure
I just did a rotate tires front straight back and back tires straight front
drives great now very very nice
But when I tried to reset the air pressure sensors By the procedure in the manual Letting a little bit of that pressure out of the left drivers front tire Till you hear a beep (horn ) then I would go to the passenger front tire.
But no horn beep Could the sensor be bad
thank you so much for all your help

Is there a small battery in the sensing the unit
in the tire or on the rim
Or however that crazy contraption works
I'm not really too familiar with the inner workings of the sencing part by The Tire

Take it to a GM dealer if you cannot get the system balanced, they have a hand tool that can reset the TPMS in a few minutes. They turn on the key and walk around pointing the tool at the valve stem and it resets to the correct wheel position.

There is a small sensor on the valve stem inside the wheel the commicates with the computer in the truck. These are a problem for many drivers but I have had 3 vehicles wth them and not one problem. But talking with the SM at local dealer he says not a day goes by that someone does not stop or call complaining about the TPMS giving them fits.

ATVGMC08,
I would have to agree with Z15 and suggest that you take your vehicle into your dealer and have them look into this for you. The process should not take long at all. Please keep me posted on this and if you have any other questions please feel free to contact me anytime.
Thank you,

Do you have larger tires or oem size tires?? I am a salesman for gmc and have noticed that everyone with bigger tires has a problem with the TPMS
