i have a 97 sierra and i want to upgrade to an aftermarket CD player. i know i need a wiring harness and mounting bracket to make it smooth like butter BUT. i know in some of these older GM vehicles you needed to buy this little box that costs $150 to put in behind it, because the stereo also has all the door chimes and other warning signals built into them. question is: do i need one for this truck?
