Rear Disc Upgrade

Looking for recommendations on disc brake upgrades. My 2013 1500 Ext Cab Sierra Nevada edition has the front discs but drums on the back. only 80k on the clock yet already it is needing yet another set of rotors. The rotors are shredding at the same rate as the pads - i've never had a vehicle that is so bad on the brakes.

The truck does not even do heavy towing. But it does do some fireroad climbs and descents shuttling mountain bikes a few times a month in summer. I still don't think that justifies the lack of brake longevity.

More likely the lack of discs on the rear increase the load on the front. the drums might also not be set up right / balanced.

Can anyone recommend an upgrade kit that would include rear discs? I want to keep the e-brake to the back and have heard that some conversions won't necessarily hook up to your e-brake. One option i'm looking at is a wreckers yard set of rear discs but if anyone knows of a good performance upgrade kit i'm interested.

Have you tried a different brand of front pads and rotors? How often do you get your brakes serviced ? I get mine serviced every 6 months to stay on top of things( ie front calipers sticking slightly causing brake drag and wearing out the rotors and pads ) its a lot cheaper doing this than replacing pads and rotors. If you are heavy on the brakes you will wear them out faster. Congrats on having rear drums I have them on my 2005 Sierra get yours set up so they are able to assist with the braking and reducing putting most of the braking on the fronts. The last thing I wanted on my truck was rear discs they just pick up more crap giving you more issues and expense to repair. I believe a ceramic pad is hard on rotors do a google search to see the various pads that are available and there wear characteristics.
