rearend swap and gear ratio

i have a 1994 oldsmobile bravada with awd i was wondering if the rearend will fit and work in my 1998 gmc jimmy 4x4 or how do i tell what gear i got in them neither one has the tag's on them

Look in the glove box and see what PRO Code you have for both of them, also i believe the Bravada had a G80 rear end which is a limited slip.

AXLE,REAR,3.42 RATIO 3.42R(GU6) is the most common ratio that was in both Bravada and Jimmy you have mentioned.

Good luck and if you can't make you the PRO codes, visit your Local GM dealer parts department with the Vin numbers and they can look up what was installed in both SUVs mentioned.
