Alright. So my 94 Suburban's trans is dying out on me. It lasted pretty darn close to a quarter of a million miles too up to now. In short bursts I could probably put more on it, but I have decided to just cut my losses while I'm somewhat ahead and just rebuild the 4l60-e automatic trans that's in it. Any advice or heads up on things that could make this a bigger headache than necessary?

Its a PIA. Clutches not too bad, same as a 700r4, but the valve bodies suck on these things. Did you have that hot trans hard shift in the summer? if you didn't I think its worth throwing some new clutches in there. Or find a rebuilt or low mileage used one instead. Its up to you.
