2 weeks ago, I was driving home when the check engine light came on and "Reduced Engine Power" appeared and couldn't go faster than 35 mph. I took it to a trusted mechanic who hooked it up to a computer and said it was the throttle body. I had it replaced but it happened again the next day. He said 99.9% of the time whatever code he received leads him to a bad throttle body but he had one other instance where he had to replace the plug which he did. 2 days later, it happened again while i was 150 miles from home. After I limped back home, I got in the next morning and it wouldn't start. I jumped the battery and it started but still had reduced engine power. I've had it come on at least once a day but am able to get it going again after turning off the truck, sitting for a minute and turning it back on. This morning I went out to go to work and it wouldn't start again. I tried jump starting, but nothing. After work I got a new battery because this battery was really old, but still, same result. This truck ran perfect before the Reduced Engine Power started happening. Could a bummed alternator cause this? Please Help!!
