Seat and air bag.........not the wife...

Ok,
Another newbie. Not to forums but to here. I purchased a 2005 1500 Sierra fully loaded about 3 years ago and love it. I travel alot for work and put some serious miles that are mostly highway.

The Drivers seat is posessed. I can try to adjust foraward and it abarely moves. I can adjust backwards with no problems. Once in a while i'll try to see if it will work and whala it works backwards. Back is forward and forward is back. The seat is seat to go al the way back upon exiting the vehicle. So upon ejcting me an exit it stops working again. I am handicaped due to some jurk ran over a pedistrian.......me! I can still walk but it isn't easy. The auto adjusting seat was a great help and now......help!

The air bag light came on. It stays on all the time......Ideas......

I guess mileage and age is creeping up but the jewel still has lots of life in her!

The airbag light came on in my 2008 Silverado I used to own. Kept dialing Onstar saying i was in an accident every time i drove the truck. Turned out there was a control module under the drivers seat that had got corrosion on it. 600$ later it was fixed. Definitely got the dealer to put it in (didnt feel like getting my head taken off by the airbag if i set it off) the part itself was $500. My seats werent acting up but maybe you have some corrosion on a few more things under the seat along with the airbag control module.
