I have a 2013 GMC Sierra 2500HD SLT 4WD Crew Cab with 135000 miles. It has the 6L gas engine. I also have the tow package installed, I have never towed, not sure if the previous owner towed thou. I have owned this truck for 6 years. My issue is all of a sudden my display is telling me to service the stabilitrac, traction control and trailer brake systems. It is also illuminating the ABS and Traction control lights. The strange thing is that it does not do it all the time. I can drive 100 miles or more with no warnings then they will come on. Sometimes after they come on they just go away. I have noticed no difference on how the truck drives, all is normal except for the warning messages and lights. I am wondering if there is a sensor that can cause these warnings and not really a problem with the systems they point to. Is it possible one or more sensors are at fault for this. I just finished a 1400 mile camping trip, I carry a slide in camper in the bed of the truck. During the trip sometimes the camper is in the truck sometimes not. It does not matter to the situation if the camper is there or not. At no time during the trip did the truck act any different that it has ever. The only difference was sometime the warnings and lights were on, other times they were not. Could this be a grounding problem? Any ideas on this situation would be appreciated.
