New here, I just picked up a 98 jimmy in need of new shocks, rides like a boat, Can I get some recommendations for new shocks? I like a rather firm ,controlled ride. thanks

I've known people spending a lot of cash on special shocks, and enjoying only mediocre results. Unless a unique suspension is involved, factory shocks are tuff to beat.

Thanks for the recommendation Dirt Clod. But while I was out earlier I picked up some Monroe Reflex shocks. I just got back from a short test ride and I have to give them two thumbs up compared to the originals. It's interesting the originals still had their gas charge but the damping was pretty weak.
