Hello all. Just looking for some information on a 2014 GMC Sierra 2500. I bought the truck with 10, 000 miles in October 2015 and when I test drove it the steering wheel have a slight play. The dealership balanced the wheels and the wobbling went away but the play is still there. I took it to a different GMC dealer and they told me the same thing that everything under the suspension is tight. However, I was not convinced that just because the suspension is tight, it doesn't mean that the steering gear is also tight.
I think the steering gear is worn which is causing the play in the steering. Looking to see if anyone has any information on this. The dealership refuse to acknowledge that there is an issue with the steering gear component. I would appreciate if anyone has dealt with this issue on their own if you could provide suggestions. Thank you!:
