I have a 2002 gmc sierra i replaced the shocks, springs, tierods, sway bar links and rack and pinion i go down the road and sterring wheels wonders off and it bounces really bad my control arms have no play at all help anyone

maybe the center link or idler arm is bad
jack one front corner so the tire is just off the ground, then grab the tire and try to push pull on it, left and right if no movement do the same with the other corner
if there is movement somebody will need to look under the truck while doing it
a friend was having problems and we did that and the idler arm was bad
one question after all the work, did you get the steering aligned?

A Pennies Worth

Have you looked at the pitman arm? This can cause erratic steering.

Both of them failed to see where you posted that you have a rack and pinion, thus no pitman arm, center link, or idler arm as they mentioned.

Does your truck have a steering stabilizer? If so you may want to look into that.
