Got my GMC 6L in the garage ... pulled the plugs and can't get the sleeve and wire on the new plug!!!
No matter how I 'aim' it, is simply will not click on - specifically the driver side rear, although will have the same trouble with the passenger side rear too. The rubber connector just bends and wiggles around, too flexible almost. Weird.
So, what's with this, slides on the plug outside the truck fine, just like it should. Clearance is a bit tight, but not THAT tight.
Wonder if it requires sliding the sleeve in first, then the plug wire connector? Tried that, no luck. Got me puzzled ... first time for me on this GMC, but I've done plenty others, different trucks different engines. Never had a problem simply slipping the spark plug wire on - how embarrassing is that? Must be "Old Fingers" getting to me.
Must be some 'trick' that eludes me.
