Hello, I have a 1991 GMC Sierra 1500. It has a few things wrong with it, but other then that, it works and runs great!
First.. Whenever I use the blinker and turn the steering wheel, the horn honks. Although this is very funny at times to see peoples reactions, it gets annoying.
Second.. The Odometer and trip odometer aren't working. Is this just a fuse? I can't find anything on it.
Third.. Sometimes the brake pedal will stick.. Not badly, just enough so the brakes aren't engaged, but the lights are..
I'm only a high school student, and I have auto shop class in school, so I can fix some things pretty easily. But there's a more scary thing that scares me.
Sometimes (i'm not sure how often, it might just be whenever it gets hot) it will die on me when I change the gears. It's an automatic, if i'm in drive, and I need to put it in reverse, sometimes (it has only done it to me twice over the last 2 months, and both times the engine was starting to get warm.) it will just die on me. It will start up just fine, and run just fine on me from there. One time I was out looking for deer and it did it to me, but I was putting the truck in park/drive a lot. I needed a truck for about a year, and I wanted an auto shop project. I'm stuck on these fixes. The bottom one doesn't bother me to much, as long as it doesn't start happening more frequently.
Thanks guys.
