Hi,

Currently own a '15 Tundra Limited. Sticker on it was 50k, owe 19k and got a trade-in from GMC dealer for 37,500. So, have about 19K to throw down on a GMC Sierra.

Looked at one that had the lane assist stuff, heated and AC seats, Bose etc. We did the numbers and payment was more than my current payment, so no Bueno. Thought process is I don't NEED a new truck, I WANT a new truck and won't pay a penny more a month than what I am now. So, guy tells me that beginning of the month, they can put a 10K off tag on 15 vehicles and he will call me.

What should I be looking for. What options are must haves. What sucks about these trucks. Never owned a GM vehicle before, outside of a 81 Malibu wagon and a 85 Blazer, both were heaps when I bought them used.

Ciao,

I'd look around carefully for owner opinions on transmision problems , and opinions on cylinder deactivation operation, and opinions on how well dealers honor the warranty. Those seem to be subjects I've read about the most on late model GM pickups. ( I personally don't have any information on the current models .)

if you search around you will find dedicated GM owners saying they will never buy another GM vehicle, Do your research before you buy, it is to late after you have it.
look for rust problems if you are in an area that uses salt or other measures to keep roads clear of ice, I have a 2009 Z71, my rust problems showed up at 130,000 km and 6 months over warranty, I got the " your over on the time part of the warranty" . I am not the only one who got the brush off.
