Hesitation Problem ( redescribed)
Hi all! Newbie to the forum and a 85 GMC Jimmy. I've searched all the old post and have tried everything I have read. My jimmy starts and idles fine. The problem is when I take off with normal driving, it has a small hesitation ( like flooding or straving for fuel). It only last about 2 seconds and it corrects itself with out me doing anything. I have installed a new Holley 600cfm carb, checked all the vac lines, vac adv seems to be working, etc. I know I have to adjust the tranny kickdown because when WOT the tranny stays in the same gear but I don't see how this can cause the trouble. It has no skip, but it does try to keep running after you shut it off. Not sure if this problem is associated with the hesitation or not. I'm open to any ideas.. Thanks in advance!
