I have a 02 Yukon XL with an aftermarket stereo. I want to switch back to a stock head unit. Someone gave me a stock unit out of a 03 vehicle and I've done some research on disabling the anti-theft on the unit and I'm gonna' give it a shot(desolder pin 8 on a certain chip on the board, I have the number of the chip , just not handy at the moment). What I'm looking for is a wiring diagram for stock head unit , part number 12207139(RDS with cd changer built in), I've got the plugs with about 1ft of extra wire to mess with. I understand that this particular unit is the only one that you can disable the vin mating without losing some of the features of the unit. Has anyone else tried this.
