My 1992 gmc jimmy s15 4.3L TBI stumbles while driving. almost like its not getting enough fuel to the motor. you can hear the fuel pump prime and when its running. help
Start with the simple and replace your fuel filter and give it a general tune up if it has not had one in a long while.
Most causes of stumbling is from poor spark plugs, wires, distributor rotor and cap. Also try cleaning your throttle body with throttle body cleaner spray. Just follow the instructions on the can and replace any vacuum lines that may look damaged from cracking ect..
Also clean out your EGR valve and replace your pvc valve. Start with these simple things first and we can go from here to get your jimmy running 110% again soon.

Pleas Help Anyone
Well so far i have replaced the entire distributor including cap and rotor as it was bent, i have done fuel filter as well i put a fuel injector cleaner through the gas tank but before replacing the fuel filter and then i have done a new air filter cleaner gasket, new pcv valve, new pcv valve hose, new serpentine belt, i have also done a radiator flush and changed the fluid back to the oem orange longlife fluid. i also swicthed up to 87 gasoline instead of the 85. im also getting poor gas milliage as in 180 km to a 3/4 of a tank of gas. i have a k&n air filter thats 100 % clean i have also got my tires balenced and allignned. and my truck is still stumbling or starving for fuel when i just randomly stomp on the gas, also if anyone has any suggestions of better fuel economy that be appreciated.
Also things replace two years ago:
Distributor cap and rotor, spark plugs, spark plug wire set, fuel filter, power steering pump, alternator, water pump, radiator, oil change every 4000 km, heater core, pulled the dash and sealed the heater box inside the vehicle up again.

Inspect the EGR valve and clean it out if not replace it if it's seized up. The other thing you can also do to help out on fuel is to replace your MAP sensor. Your ECM picks up the readings from your MAP sensor that regulate the injector plus band.

I'm having problems with my 01 jimmy sls I've replaced plugs wires fuel filter cleaned maf sensor changed cam sensor and throttle position sensor. I've also cleaned the the throttle body out. It still sputters while cruising but it idles fine. Could anyone help me here? Also when I shift gears the rpms jump up 300 rpm and don't idle down for about 3 seconds. Not sure if that has anything to do with it.
