sudden drop in oil pressure 94 gmc suburban?

while driving the oil pressure drops down to 0 and the light turns on. but it comes back up i like a minute or 2. but it is always dropping and going back up while driving. while in idle it really doesnt move much. any input would be great. thanks

Start with checking your oil pressure with a manual oil pressure gauge. If your readings are good, then replace your oil sending unit.

The oil sending unit is located on the engine block by the distributor driver's side. Make sure you get the right sending unit, one is just for a low oil pressure light and the other sending unit gives out readings for a gauge on the dash.
