TIM fuse

I had no power coming from my trailer hook up, I located a 30 AMP fuse blown, but description in fuse box is TIM, What does that stand for?

i had the same problem on my 2020 3500 Chevy Silverado could not find out why my trailer light were not working all the fuses were good .
i had turn signals and brake lights but no running light .
i came across the 30amp fuse that said TIM it was blown put in a new fuse and voila back in the game!

Me too. Could gm at least lable shit so you don't have to be a gm mechanic to get a fuse right.

I had same problem. Researched, tried everything for days. All fuses related to trailer, not knowing knowing TIM fuses were related to trailers. I unplugged 7 way wiring harness from truck, no power there either. I checked fuse TIM 82 (Trailer Interface Module) as you suggested, found it was bad, so I replaced fuse....problem solved. Also TIM 74 was bad. THANKS SO MUCH for posting fix.
 
been struggling with the same issue, thanks for the post. I am going to check tonight. i hope its a easy fix!
 
me three, spent days troubleshooting no trailer running lights,(brake and turn signals working) found a you tube video about TIM fuse #82 and that fixed it!!! 2020 GMC 3500 Denali crew dually. the internet is a bigger help than the dealership.
 
TIM fuse # 82 - 30amp FIXED MY TRAILER RUNNING LIGHT ISSUE.

Mice crawled in my boat trailer over the winter and had a season long buffet on all the trailer light wiring. Instead of fixing, I elected to remove and replace all wire with 16 gauge instaed of the 18 gauge installed from the MFG. I rewired the drivers side, thought I would test to make sure everything was working correctly, brake lights and blinkers worked, but I could not get the running lights to come on. Replace the 7 way plug, double checked the lights, grounds, and connections again. Read that LED's do not pull enough amps for the GMC computer to pick them up, so I finished wiring the trailer thinking the additional lights would increas the amps. Finished, checked, still no running light, but the system was reconizing the trailer. Ran the trailer light system check, no issues found, all connections good, still no running lights. Pulled the "Trailer Parking Light" 10amp fuse #41, not blown. Removed the running light feed from "TM" and attached to "AUX", all lights came on and worked, the wiring in the trailer was correct. Read a little more and inspected the "TIM" 30amp fuse #82, blown. Replaced the fuse and it fixed the issue with my trailer running lights.

Since the mice ate through a number of the light wires, I had multiple faults. Not sure why the TIM fuse blew and not the Trailer Parking Lights, but from this point on, I will have a few 10amp and 30amp fuses in the glove box for this reason.

I have a 2022 2500Hd and I have no power to my 7 way plug and no power to my 110 plug inside my bed? I have had to replace my battery due to one going dead, so I replaced both due to it being a diesel, now I have a LED after market left headlight that has gone out?? I checked my #74&82 fuse and both are blown? I replaced 82 with another 30 amp fuse and it blew it also?? Suggestions please let me know or call me 864-420-8774. Dealership want help with problem and I have hours into this problem. The trailer is brand new with led lights. The fuse will blow with or without trailer?? Any help is appreciated?
 
I have a 2022 chevrolet 3500 hd I have no trailer light at all checked fuse and both TIM #1 and TIM #2 were blown. Put new fuses in and they blew right away with truck off what would it be

Have you figured out the issue yet. Im currently troubleshooting the same problem. 2022 GMC 3500. When i plug my RV or any other trailer in nothing comes up on the display screen to indicate a trailer in connected like it normally does. Found TIM fuse #82 blown Replacing the fuse just blows the new one instantly. No trailer connected truck not running.
 
I have a 2019 Chevy Silverado and my trailer brake lights, running lights work but the left/right signal lights do not. I have hear replacing TIM fuse #82 is the solution. Has anyone else come across this? I know there is a service bulletin to replace the trailer lamp control module, and change the jumper wires installed in the harness and then reprogram it, but my truck is out of its warranty (of course).
 
I replaced TIM 82 fuse (engine compartment) and it fix my fast blinker and fixed my info- center telling me I have trailer light issues even though I didn't have a trailer connected. I found this burnt fuse checking all my fuses. It said TIM which I didn't know what that meant. So I looked it up and found this discussion. So replacing #82 worked for me... phew.
 
I just replaced mu trailer brake control module on my 19 silverado, had no power at 7 way and blinkers were fast, truck would tell me to check my trailer lights even when I didn't have one hooked up. Once I replaced the module it made the TIM fuse #74 under the hood blow. Replaced it and everything is normal now.
