To All The Speaker And Sound Fanatics

I am 16 and just purchased my first truck. I bought a 2002 GMC sierra 3/4 ton (6L) . Its a reg cab long box. I need speakers, the 6 1/2 speakers in the doors are toasted. I found two sets that seem decent. I am wondering if they will sound good with the stock head unit. Not replacing stock HU. I have no money, plus what I do get ends up out the muffler! Thanks
