On the last generation GMC Jimmy 95-present you will find the procedures pretty similar to the older ones, the only difference is the bolt to crank up the t-bar. Locate the torsion bar under your truck follow the bar to the rear of the truck and then locate the adjusting bolt.

I think its a 15mm socket that fits. If you are going to do a full crackup i would recommend not to bottom out the adjuster leave about 1/8" before bottoming out. I would lift the rear first and adjust the t-bars accordingly, t-bars all the way and you get about 2 inches out of them.

One more thing, shackles in the back from a local parts store for 18 bucks will makes it all level and it even looks like a real ZR2 with the right rims and wheel spacers in the read axle. So it was really a cheap lift your Jimmy, really cheap 18 bucks cheap. So good luck in your lifting and be safe, the other option would be a lift kit that also addresses your suspension geometry. But that is costly and will give yuo more then 2 inch suspension lift. :D

This is the torsion bar key at the rear of the bar, notice the bolt on the right, that's the adjustment bolt.

These are the marks you should make, also write the number of turns that you have made on the cross member for reference.

Here is what the front wheels will look with the lift.
