Hi, maybe some one can help me. I am looking at buying a 2000 sierra reg cab short box 4x4. The guy tells me the tranny is shot but when I asked him if it moved at all he said it will move when it is cold but the hotter it gets the less it wants to move. Is this a serious problem or can it be fixed.

Unless the trans casing is cracked and leaking it can be rebuilt depending how bad the internal parts are. Did this guy plow or haul anything heavy? if so there might be other expensive parts that need replacing.

Hey there. I'm sorry to barge in your feed, I'm new to all of this. I do not know how to start a feed :(. I'm really sorry. But I do have a question. I just bought a 2007 gmc Sierra 1500. Had the breaks done all round - now the back breaks are sticking, when I come/ about to come to a full stop. Is this normal and just needs to be worked in? Or is something wrong. ( had it for 6 days) also i need to know when to change the differential fluid. It has 88k on it. And the owner before had a trailer (hull) I really appreciate any help. :). Ty

Your in the right sub forum. If you want to start your own thread just click on "new thread" make a title then ask your question. If the PO towed with your truck I would change the diff. fluid and the trans fluid as well, its cheaper than replacing engine and trans.
