Trans filter change - drop exhaust?

It appears the exhaust needs to come down - correct?

V8 drivers side exhaust crosses under the trans pan. Tried jacking up the trans for additional space. Back of pan still catches on the exhaust. Removed bracket for exhaust hanger on back of trans. Next step is to remove exhaust connection b4 muffler and drivers side near engine to see if it rotates enough to gain about an inch of needed space. Seems like overkill to require this much work to change trans fluid. Appreciate any comments if I've overlooked something.

Here's my solution to avoid removing exhaust:

Jacking up the trans provides enough open wedge-room to pull the filter. So I'll scoop out the remaining fluid, clean mating surfaces, apply anaerobic sealant to pan and trans and fit gasket.

Hopes this helps someone else.

Maybe mine is more difficult due to the AWD configuration.

Last post showing final procedure.

New gasket too hard to fit without contaminating it in remaining fluid. Existing gasket was intact so I cleaned and applied anaerobic sealant to surface. Torqued bolts to 13 lbs and let sit overnight to cure before operating.

follow up - another wrench suggested removing bolts on trans and jacking up to provide more clearance for easier pan removal.
