i just bought this truck,and was showing it to a friend of mine,we were looking at the engine compartment when he noticed the transmission stick had a lot of vibration in it,is this normal the truck is a 2011 sierra with the 5.3 and 6 speed transmission

im gunna assume it was the tranny dip stick ? if so. chances are its loose i believe, might wanna get gm to have a peak. gluck to ya

you are right when you say transmission stick that is what you mean,when i go in for 5000 mile service i intend to get them to check,truck seems to run better every day,i dont think i could have bought a better truck,at first i was concerned with that afm on engine,they had had some problems with 07 and 08 but i think they have all the kinks worked out,this truck is just a pleasure to drive

i had my truck in for them to put a bedcap on for me and i showed one of the service guys in there that my transmission stick had a lot of vibration in it when ideling,he thought it vibrated to much to and wrote it up,i was in the other day to get my oil changed over to synthetic and was talking to him again and he said they had came up with a better transmission stick for that 6 speed,and today i got a new stick put in it does not vibrate when ideling,i suggest you new truck owners keep a eye on transmission stick and make sure it does not crack from vibrating
