My truck has decided to stop working, kinda. No one can seem to figure out whats wrong right off the bat, we'll do troubleshooting tomorrow and get it fixed. If anyone has any idea of what to check, ideas would helpful! Very helpful
First, Driving out today, she ran great, was having no issues. Then I lost all ability to accelerate. She was floored, my RPMs were normal, and she would not accelerate. Pulled off to the side of the road just in time for my oil pressure to go to nothing. She continued to run, had full battery, was making no noises. She has fresh oil in her, that was put in less than a week ago, and my oil levels were perfect. I just put gas in her too. Getting her off the side of the freeway into the parking lot, I had intermittent oil pressure, but when it was there, it was JUST barely, and still no power to go forward. Went up slight incline, was floored, RPMs normal, and couldn't get any faster than 20mph.. but that was all we could manage. Once parked in parking lot, she started making a slight knocking noise.
Any ideas?
There was response from the gas pedal, but little. She'd move forward, and go, just not any faster than the 20mph and even with her floored and barely going 20 my RPMs stayed as if we were trying to drive at 20mph, not with the pedal floored. Oil pressure would be there slightly as we gave her power, but when we'd stop, pressure would disappear. able to go from dead stop to moving, but little to no power
no stalling when the gas pedal is floored... she just moves slowly. Will be the first things we check in the morning.
Would all of this affect my oil pressure? Or should i be looking at something for that too?
