I have a 2000 GMC sierra with the 454. Is there anyone who can tell my why my truck will run really good until it warms up, then sputters and chugs while driving. Truck as no power after it warms up and will occasionally die while putting in reverse or stopping. I have replaced all the plugs, wires and distributor cap. I have also verified that the catalytic converters are not plugged. I think it could be the pressure regulator or the fuel pump, but that wouldn't make sense as to why it runs good until it warms up. I am hoping that it is a sensor issue like the mass airflow sensor, or the throttle position sensor. Is there anyone who can give me some direction, I would appreciate any insight into solving this problem.

The check engine light is not on, so I have not had the codes read. i will get that done and see if there is anything. I heard that the fuel pressure regulator and or fuel pump could be the culprit also. I have done a complete tune up, plugs, wires, cap and rotor and it did help, but the stalling and no power is still a problem. i will look into the codes and get back to you. Thanks for the direction.
There were no codes. Again the truck runs real good for about 10 minutes or less. Then it is a POS. Since it does run so well initially, I was thinking that it had to be some kind of sensor problem. I was leaning toward the mass airflow sensor, simply because after the truck warms up and runs like crap, it could be that the Mass airflow sensor is not adjusting the air temperature like it should. The throttle position sensor is also connected to this process as well I think. Is there anyway to test the Mass airflow and throttle position sensor to see if they could be faulty?
