Hello everyone and thank you for taking a look. My father is having an issue with his 2003 GMC Sierra Duramax 6.6L. His English is not that great and neither are his computer/typing abilities. His job which requires to use his car to help support me and my brother (full times college students) is bogging down and without his car we are all pretty much arsed.
Enough smush and backgroud... He is explainging to me that the car will not rev past 2000 rpms and is experiencing a lot of power loss. He brought the car in to a local dealer who couldn't find any codes but the mechanic told my father that something is happening with the 5th cylinder. What else i know is that the car is running on 4 cylinders (some sort or emergency governor im assuming). He placed a new engine in the car by himself about 3 months ago and everything was fine until now. Also, he changed the fuel injectors with no positive results. Any help is greatly and deeply appreciated.
