Hello, I'm looking for some insight. I have a 08 gmc Sierra 1500 with 79,000 Kms. It has quite a bit of work done to it including, headers, exhaust, cold air, chip, etc. i have been wanting to supercharge or turbo it but I am not sure what to go with. Depending on which one will I need to add any other parts? Better fuel system? Shift kit? Etc. let me know what you think. Thanks.

Your always going to need to install a better fuel system when Boosting any motor... more air needs more fuel. I would recommend a second fuel pump and the size of the injectors really depends on how much boost your going to run. id assume like any other factory motor that doesnt come already force inducted the max boost you will be able to run is between 5-8 lbs. but after you have that done you should think about the ECU sometimes electrical interference can cause less than ideal performance. so its always good to get a stand alone ECU Haltech is what ive always used... then if your going to be show boating and beating on it yes your trans should recieve an overhaul, as well as your rear end.

and superchargers are great power adders but ive always prefered the sound and performance of a turbo and the bigger the turbo the longer it takes to spool (turbo lag) so if its just a low boosted truck your going to run just get a smaller one to minimize the lag and upgrade later as your motor can take it.
