Two Questions, both electrical

First off, my truck is a 2000 Sierra 1500 4x4, 5.3, the 4 high and 4 low buttons do not light up when my dash lights are on. Is there a separate bulb for this or do I need to buy new switches?

My blower fan speed control/ selector will only start working when I select 3 or higher, 1 and 2 won't start the blower. Is there a problem with the blower or the fan speed control/ selector?

the fan switch has a history of going bad
I replaced it twice on my '98

I thought the 4 high and 4 low lights only lit up when you actually selected the 4 high or 4 low, otherwise they are not on.

I believe the 4hi/4low/2hi lights should light up when selected....and stay on while in that gear. It is a common problem with these that the light will not stay on while in the gear. Mine does that anyways

As for the heater, there is a resister block in the heater......part of it may be burnt out

As for the 4 high and 4 low switch, maybe you are correct, I was going off of the 2 high switch and the automatic switch because when I turn on my lights, they light up but the 4 high and 4 low don't.

Now for the fan switch, I did a search on Amazon for the heater control switch. I came up with AC Delco 15-72505. Does anyone know if this is the correct number?
