sorry, it's been a while since i last talked about the ps pump whining. i was able to suck whatever fluid i could, drive around the parking lot, turn the wheel, then used a turkey baster to get the rest out.
added new fluid and noise is still there. the noise has been there since buying the truck last july. i was able to scrape up a few hundred bucks and I still have power steering but i'm ready to yank it and the noise and have a new one installed
Napa auto parts has a pump & the resevior (should i get it with the res?) for 67.00 and found a mechanic who will install for 100.00.
i guess that doesn't get much cheaper right? Napa brand of pump has lifetime warranty which is hard for me to believe but that's what they said. anyway, the brand is A1 Cardone.
