urgent towing advice needed

Hello, I recently blew my mazda 6 motor on a trip from canada to the USA. its sitting at a shop in Washington, Pennsylvania and I need to get it back to Kitchener, Ontario. My parents have a 5.3 L 2006 Sierra and are also returning from a trip down south. we were thinking of renting a car dolly to pull it back. My car weighs roughly 3300 pounds and the distance would be roughly 548 km (345 miles). I was wondering if anyone knew if this would be safe on my parents truck. last thing we need is 2 broke down vehicles. any advice would help.

I would not be afraid to tow it like that, the truck can handle that with ease.
