I would like to find the stock replacement Tire Jack for an 1986 Suburban 2500. If you have one for sale, send me a pm with your price and a zip code so I can calc shipping.

I have a stock jack from 1989 v1500 will this work for you and if so what are you offering. The reason I am considering it is because it is too short to use with the tires I have.

I suspect that would have worked, unfortunately, I did not see your response before I wound up buying one locally. I paid $40 for it.

No problem Im glad you found one. I take it you are restoring a suburban? If you are can you give me a general outline about how you are going about it. What to do (brakes, body, ect) in what order to restore it to a daily driver that looks new. It wont be a show vehicle or anything just want a good looking truck that will handle anything I might run into. I dont do anything like rock crawling just off road for fun and even then I am careful and all. Thanks for any help you give

I am not doing a real "restoration". If I got it back in original condition, I'd wind up babying it and it wouldn't be as fun to own.

I am simply replacing / repairing things that make it look "beat up". For example, the headliner had fallen in several spots so I had the headliner replaced. The paint was actually in good shape but I had it wet sanded, polished and waxed. There are some chips, paint cracks etc., but, it improved the paint 100% and I am not going to spend the money to repair and repaint.

It would be very easy to spend well in excess of my purchase price on "restoration".

Mechanically, I have leak somewhere in the exhaust, possible near the manifolds. I'll fix that. Otherwise, it runs GREAT!

Interior seating is perfect. Side panels a little sun bleached, dash area perfect, carpet is just OK. But I won't replace the carpet because of the dogs I have and the fishing crap I throw in the back.

So, she is fine the way she is.

But, keep in touch. Let me know what projects you are working on and I will do the same.
