I have a 1997 GMC K1500 Sierra SLE 4WD V8 5.7L, that pulls to one side, the front tires are toed out badly and eating my tread steadily. And front suspension / steering components are ALL either need replaced or will need to be soon so I want to do an overhaul. All that have been replaced lately is calipers, and front/ back shocks.
I want to do a complete overhaul of front end suspension / steering parts. My local auto shop says 650.00 to do everything.
They said both side needs upper and lower ball joints replaced, wheel bearings, and either right or left side a-arm / control arm,?? not sure but both look terrible and appear to be original to the truck. Also Do I need a bushing kit?
What all goes into the suspension and steering? Looking for suggestions on what parts to replace, what website to order from, I'd like to stay on cheaper side but also quality, so right in the middle. I want all my parts to be greasable and OEM replacement.
I am going to do the work myself as I have a friend who has been servicing GMC yukons suburbans sierras, etc his whole life and access to a shop.
