Have 1996 gmc jimmy 4.3 V6, 4L60E. Has over 500,000 KM. Regular maintenance and replace worn parts. Engine, transmission and drive-train original, did have to replace the fuel line this year and on my 2nd fuel pump. The fuel pump has a life of around 240,00 KM (150,000 miles) Other then that, just oil and filter change. The secret on the 4L60E is to replace the boost valve every 60,000 miles, it;s only a $45.00 part and take less then 5 min to replace when servicing the transmission and also adding a external transmission oil filter. (average cost $85.00 or just do what i did and add an inline filter to your transmission line to the radiator.)
