What's this part????

Newbie Here!!!

I have a 1989 GMC Truck, running a 305 TBI. I just replaced the head gaskets and rebuilt heads. After installing the intake manifold I noticed a brass fitting just to the right of the distributor. Can't remember what hooks up to it!!! Serious Brain Fart Or What!!! Couldn't find anything obvious that screws into it, nor could I find the part in my Haynes Manual. Sure would like to know what that little sucker is so that I can get things up and running.

I would appreciate any available input on this one guys,

If this screws into the block then is sounds like the oil sending unit location.

it was the oil sending unit. The part had dropped down into the bell housing, and I found it shortly after posting this message. Engine is up and running good, thanks again, dan3d.
