The easiest way to find the paint code is to look for the sticker or plate that has the paint code listed and is located in the glove box, and plate on the body on the fire wall. Even if you get a correct paint code, it will only be an approximate match to your car's exact color. In most cases, it will be an exact match or close match, but some colors, especially metallic and pearl colors, will have many variations for the same paint code. There are so many other places for the paint color code to be located for GM cars, so if you do not see the code on those places mentioned above, we recommend that you check your Owner's manual for your vehicle for the location of paint color code. The Owner's manual does not tell you what the paint color code is, but it tells you where it's located on your vehicle. If you do not have the Owner's manual or the paint color code is illegible, contact the dealer with the VIN number on your vehicle, and they should be able to provide you with the information.
GMC Brand paint color code has many ways of labeling their paint color codes, but what's important is the "WA number", which is usually a 3-4 digit code indicated as WA-U9095, L8798,(our information shows the code as WA9095). If your vehicle is a two-tone, the number you need will follow a "U" (for upper body) or a "L" (for lower body). If your vehicle is a single color, the code should be easy to spot.
Paint Color Code Looks Like:
Usually a three or four digits and start with a WA, such as WA9095 or without WA such as 9095. If the vehicle is two-tone there will be an “L” (for lower) or a “U” (for upper) before the numbers. Example: WA U-9095 or WA L-8798. GM Pro code usually lists two codes on every vehicle. There is usually a two digit code, such as 47U - 90L.
