Hi all, I'm new to this forum so I'd like to say hello and send warm greetings.
I've replace the fuel pump in my 1999 GMC Suburban C1500 5.7L SLT...well I've installed it in the "still removed" fuel tank and I'm looking for some parts.
I'm looking for a fuel filler hose. Not the whole assembly, just the hose. I'm also looking for the two fuel lines that go from the fuel pump along the frame underneath to bolt like connectors. Truthfully, I don't need the two fuel lines if I can find some "retaining clips" that go into the fuel lines to hold them to the fuel pump.
While removing the fuel tank, I got frustrated and cut the filler hose because the hose was old and stuck on "both ends" after removing the clamps and there was not enough room to work the hose to loosen it. Once I cut it, I realized I shouldn't have. Long story short, I also destroyed the retaining clips and realized I shouldn't have done that either.
Rookie move I know...but it happened and I'm moving foward.
At any rate, if anyone knows where I could find these parts please point me in the right direction.
I went to the dealer and I could order them, however the filler hose (just the hose) is about $219 and one of the fuel lines is about $150 and the other is about $110...is what they tell me. I started to purchase these items from them but then I thought let me go online and see if I can get them cheaper.
Take care, and thanks in advance.
