The part of the engine controlling the RPM at which the truck idles. Is idling fairly low (about half normal idle) and is running too rich. Please give as much detail as you think would be needed and respond ASAP. 5 stars to whoever gives the best CORRECT answer.

As for your IAC, (Idle Air Control) Valve which controls your engine's idle is located on your throttle body on the passenger side. Here is a link to your fuel system and #4 is your IAC. http://www.compnine.com/index.php?u...delid=7018&capuid=1&majorgroup=03&grouptype=B

As for running rich, it could be a bad FPR (Fuel Pressure Regulator) that is leaking fuel in to your upper intake or a dirty MAF sensor that needs to be cleaned.

Here is a link for your to retrieve your DTC codes and hope will help you address the issues your having to your Jimmy. http://www.troublecodes.net/GM/

You Jimmy being a 1994, start with the simple and clean your IAC and EGR valve. It's common for the EGR valve to get stuck or jam open with carbon build up which can cause the issues you have described. Here is a link that should help you, and keep us posted. ;) http://gmcowners.com/gmc-forum/showthread.php?t=13770
